I was worried the glass would feel fragile, but the borosilicate material feels solid and the stainless lid screws on snug. The plunger’s fitted seal glides down smoothly, and my coffee’s natural oils come through way clearer than with my old drip machine.
The borosilicate glass is noticeably thicker than my old press, so I don't flinch every time I rinse it under hot water. The plunger glides down smooth, and the 1L size is just right for two big mugs of coffee that actually taste cleaner.
I was skeptical about switching from my drip machine, but the stainless steel lid seals so snugly that I get zero grounds in my cup. The 1L size is perfect for my morning pour, and the glass lets me watch the coffee steep exactly how I like it.
