I’ve gone through a whole bag of carrots and a butternut squash without my wrist cramping once, which is more than I can say for my old peeler. Peeling sweet potatoes used to take forever, but this Y-peeler cuts through them in well under a minute. The wide blade is noticeably more efficient than my old straight one, though I wish the handle had a bit more grip.

The wide blade glides through squash without me having to press hard, which is exactly what I wanted. Only gripe is the handle feels a bit narrow for my grip, but it’s still a solid upgrade from my old peeler.
