The 2.6-inch spheres come out perfectly smooth and crystal clear every time, and the flexible food-grade silicone makes popping them out effortless without any cracking or mess. I use this for evening cocktails and the food-grade silicone doesn’t leave any plasticky aftertaste, which was my biggest worry. The spheres also melt slow enough that my drink stays cold without getting watered down too fast.
The 2.6" spheres drop right out of the mold after a quick rinse—no twisting or prying needed, which is rare for ice molds. They melt slowly enough that my bourbon stays cold without getting watery, and the silicone doesn't pick up freezer odors.
